BCBL
The Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language is an international interdisciplinary research center for the study of cognition, brain and language jointly founded by Ikerbasque, Innobasque, UPV-EHU and the Diputación de Gipuzkoa. The center is located in Donostia-San Sebastián, Basque Country and was created in December 2008
Since then, BCBL has managed its activity based on Openbravo Business Suite, especially using the budgetary control functionality, people and assets.
Results
Standard implementation of accounting and financial management, purchasing, sales and warehouses modules.
Adaptation of the budget management module to allocate each expense to an aid and a project.
Adaptation of the people module, to be able to manage the skills of each person and the availability to be assigned to different projects
Milestones
- Budget accounting was one of the required functionalities. This was developed on Openbravo with the help of BCBL and the knowledge provided by both parties.
- People management: CV, investigator data, availability information, assignments, etc.
- Mineco justification report, generated from Openbravo.

El Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language chose the Openbravo solution for its flexibility, which has allowed to develop the required functionality in an agile way and simple.
The solution offers coverage to all corporate processes including accounting and financial management, purchases, sales and warehouses.
